Choosie ("Choosie", "we", "us") is operated by Seam Apps.
Choosie is a live-video dating service intended exclusively for adults aged 18
and over. We have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE)
and for child sexual abuse material (CSAM). This document sets out the standards and
practices we maintain to keep minors off our platform and to prevent, detect, and respond
to any child-safety concern.
Choosie is an 18+ service. Anyone under 18 is prohibited from creating
an account or using Choosie. We do not knowingly permit minors on the Service.
1. Prohibited conduct
The following are strictly prohibited on Choosie and result in immediate account
termination and, where applicable, reporting to law enforcement:
Any child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or content that sexualizes minors.
Grooming, solicitation, or any sexual communication with or about a minor.
Use of the Service by anyone under the age of 18.
Sharing, requesting, or attempting to obtain sexual content involving minors.
Impersonating a minor or misrepresenting age.
2. Keeping minors off Choosie
Age gate: Choosie is rated for adults and is only distributed as an
18+ / Mature app. Users must confirm they are 18 or older to use the Service.
Phone verification: Every account is verified by phone number, which
raises the barrier to fake or throwaway underage accounts.
Store-level restriction: We enable available app-store controls that
restrict distribution to adult users.
3. Reporting and moderation
In-app reporting: Every user can report another user directly from
the live-video screen, matches, and chat. Reports flag the account for our review team.
Blocking: Any user can immediately block another user, ending all
contact.
Human review: Our team reviews reports and removes accounts that
violate these standards. Accounts involved in any suspected CSAE are removed immediately.
4. Responding to child sexual abuse material (CSAM)
If we become aware of apparent CSAM or of any child-safety violation on Choosie, we will:
Remove the content and terminate the responsible account without delay.
Preserve relevant information as required by law.
Report to the U.S. National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) via the
CyberTipline, and to the relevant regional or
national authorities as required.
We comply with all applicable child-safety laws and reporting obligations in the
jurisdictions where Choosie is available.
5. Point of contact
Our designated child-safety point of contact can be reached at
erikcarroll30@gmail.com. This contact is able
to speak to our CSAE prevention practices and compliance.
6. Reporting a concern
To report a child-safety concern on Choosie:
Use the in-app Report control on the offending user, or
If a child is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first. In the
United States, suspected child sexual exploitation can also be reported to the NCMEC
CyberTipline at report.cybertip.org or
1-800-843-5678.
